30-Ahead’s principal consultant is Michael Chae, a seasoned nonprofit executive who has led leaders and their teams through periods of change and organizational development.
With a reputation for being steady, cultivating leadership skills, and maintaining a focus on outcomes, Michael has successfully navigated challenges such as the 2008 recession, COVID, organizational turnarounds and managing growth.
Michael’s leadership experience includes roles as COO, Executive Director, Regional Vice President and Managing Director at national organizations like the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, and Playworks. His areas of work included fundraising, program leadership, operations and innovation.
Early in his career, Michael worked in community mental health and efforts to close the digital divide. His extensive experience has equipped him to drive results, develop effective strategies, and lead successful organizational change.
Between his client work, you might find Michael roaming the Bay Area hills on his bike, combing through the selection at an independent bookstore, and demonstrating his commitment to dark roast coffee.
